Christian Appalachian Mountain Project

Helping Other People Enthusiastically

It is a Christian based home center that sets up needy homeowners in the Frostburg, Allegany - Garrett County area, with teams of youth and adults who volunteer their time and skills to renovate a home in need.  This year PUMC sent a crew of youth and adults to Frostburg for one week to work on projects such as handicap ramps, new roofs, yard clean up and other home improvement jobs.

Camp Hope 2018
July 1-7

Camp Hope Highlights

Our 2018 Camp Hope Mission Team has spent the winter fundraising with pizza, soup, and hot dog lunches. On May 12th we'll host a Vendor Event with the church's 2nd Saturday breakfast. Look for our Annual Car Wash on Saturday June 9th. If you've been unable to attend and would still like to support Camp Hope, we need a lunch sponsor for every day for each team (3 teams x 5 days x $40) ~ please make your check payable to Pasadena UMC with Camp Hope Lunch in the memo line.

From our partners at Hall United Methodist Church: They will be hosting a car wash and a yard sale on Saturday, May 5 from 8am to 12pm. There will also be a flea market going on at the same time. 100% of the proceeds from both events will donated to our Camp Hope trip. A local detailing company is donating their time for this effort and each car will be asked for a love offering. Hall UMC is located at 7780 Solley Road in Glen Burnie.

Dresses for Girls Mission

This project began several years ago when one of our four year old children contributed her allowance to a mission project to help children in Haiti, and we have been making dresses ever since. Women and children of all ages have come to help either at PUMC or by taking kits home to complete. Several hundred of these beautiful dresses have been sent to UMCOR and the project continues!

Care Corner Ministry

The Care Corner at PUMC is a ministry that is important to us and to all in our community.  We are open several mornings and afternoons a week providing food for anyone who needs it. Call the church office for info on donating or receiving food.
